A commuter subscription for Rapido riders who need the same trip, at a knowable price, every morning
Daily commuters live with two problems that compound each other. Surge pricing makes budgeting impossible, and inconsistent driver acceptance turns a routine trip into a gamble. Both peak during the morning rush, exactly when reliability matters most. The result is ride abandonment, anxiety, and churn among the platform's highest-frequency segment.
The Commuter Pass is a weekly or monthly subscription with three parts: fare price caps on eligible routes, priority driver matching during peak hours, and transparent pricing shown before booking. Riders configure their regular routes and time bands, subscribe to a plan, and then get capped surge exposure and faster driver assignment on those routes. The flow is mapped end to end, from pass selection through subscription confirmation, booking with cap logic applied, and ride completion.

PMs designing subscriptions on top of marketplaces with volatile pricing
The transferable bitAbsorbing surge costs strains unit economics, drivers still need a reason to accept, and extreme surge volatility can blow past any configurable threshold. Naming those risks before proposing employer-sponsored plans and adaptive surge protection tiers is what separates a subscription proposal from wishful thinking.
