Why solo entrepreneurs on WhatsApp Business retype the same answers all day, and three fixes ranked by RICE
Solo entrepreneurs run their whole operation through WhatsApp Business, and most of the day goes to typing the same answers about availability, pricing, pickup location and payment methods. Order confirmations, payment instructions and delivery coordination follow nearly identical structures every week. Quick replies already exist to solve this, but setup is manual enough that the effort looks worse than the payoff before anyone sees the savings.
Three solutions get scored on RICE. Improved quick replies, auto-generated from past conversations, top out at 18 because they remove the setup step entirely and cut response time for little build effort. Bulk messaging to selected order groups scores 12 and covers the weekly job of sending delivery updates to a changing set of customers. AI suggested responses score 9 and get parked as a later bet on cost and complexity grounds. Time from reading a message to sending a reply becomes the primary metric.

PMs prioritising small features where adoption, not capability, is the real bottleneck
The transferable bitAn unused feature is diagnosed as a setup-cost problem rather than a value problem, and the setup is then removed using data the product already has. The guardrails are worth copying too: shortcut count per business to catch cognitive overload, and satisfaction ratings so faster replies do not sand off the personal touch these businesses run on.
