A Study Time mode that turns YouTube's existing educational videos into a structured, quizzed curriculum
YouTube holds the largest library of educational content anywhere and gives students none of the structure needed to learn from it. Lessons sit next to entertainment recommendations, and the algorithm pulls toward the next new video rather than through a syllabus. Students get distracted, learning journeys fragment, and there is no way to check comprehension or clear a doubt without leaving the platform.
The proposal is an agentic LMS living inside YouTube as a dedicated Study Time mode. An AI agent builds structured lesson plans by grouping existing videos into a curriculum aimed at the learner's goal. Quizzes fire at configurable intervals during playback to reinforce comprehension, and a deep-dive chat answers clarifying questions calibrated to that student's level. Study Time strips out random recommendations, so the surface stays distraction-free and YouTube shifts from a passive repository to an active learning tool.
